Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal IT systems including network infrastructure, databases, and security protocols
- Implement cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive government data against threats
- Provide technical support and training to federal employees across multiple agencies
- Coordinate disaster recovery planning and business continuity operations
- Ensure compliance with federal IT standards (NIST, FISMA) and security protocols
- Analyze system performance and recommend upgrades for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT modernization initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in federal IT systems administration
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain Secret clearance)
- Proficiency in network administration (Cisco, Juniper), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and cybersecurity frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Knowledge of federal IT compliance requirements (FISMA, NIST)
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration and documentation
- Preferred: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or ITIL certification
