Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure solutions for federal government clients, ensuring compliance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security threats.
- Manage and troubleshoot complex network environments, including firewalls, routers, and cloud-based systems (AWS/Azure).
- Analyze system performance metrics to optimize resource allocation and enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate emerging technologies.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for internal review and client presentations.
Qualifications
- Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one prior to start date.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in federal IT environments or defense contracting.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, GSEC, or CEH are strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), Windows Server, and Linux administration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
