Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures in compliance with federal standards (FISMA, NIST).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
- Monitor system logs and traffic for suspicious activities; respond to and mitigate cyber threats.
- Manage user access controls, permissions, and identity management systems (IAM).
- Provide technical guidance and incident response support to system administrators.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required; must possess or be eligible to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related technical field (or equivalent military experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or DoD contracting.
- Proficiency with Linux/Windows systems administration and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto).
- Certification: Security+ (or higher) required; CISSP preferred.
