Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain robust network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in compliance with federal standards.
- Document system configurations, security protocols, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable IT solutions.
- Provide technical training and support to junior staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Active Top Secret security clearance is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal IT support or cybersecurity.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), hardware, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS/Azure) and virtualization.
