Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of federal IT infrastructure projects, ensuring strict compliance with government standards and protocols.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive federal data and information systems from unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and performance reviews to identify risks and optimize operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and manage scalable software solutions tailored to federal agency requirements.
- Manage the troubleshooting and resolution of complex hardware and software issues to minimize downtime for federal operations.
- Ensure all IT activities adhere to FISMA, NIST, and OMB directives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members within the federal team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in federal or government IT environments.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
- Strong proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Proven experience in network administration and system administration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional certification such as CISSP, PMP, or ITIL is highly desirable.
