Role Overview:
You will serve as a technical lead, ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of federal information systems. You will work closely with agency stakeholders to implement modern solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security compliance.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and implement remediation strategies to protect sensitive data.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into legacy federal systems.
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate configuration management records.
- Conduct regular system audits and security training for agency personnel.
- Adhere to strict federal regulations (FISMA, NIST) regarding data handling and system security.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one (Top Secret preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or DoD contracting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Security: Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and federal compliance standards.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting.
- Travel: Ability to travel occasionally to federal sites or conferences.
