Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor federal IT systems and networks during the night shift to ensure 24/7 operational readiness and minimal downtime.
- Implement and enforce FedRAMP security controls and compliance protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and hardware troubleshooting to maintain system integrity.
- Document system configurations, incidents, and resolutions in compliance with federal ITIL standards and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and federal stakeholders to address technical issues and implement system improvements.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff members and external partners during evening hours.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent technical experience.
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal IT environments, specifically working with FedRAMP or NIST frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, server administration, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Must be available and willing to work the night shift (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical status to stakeholders.
