Responsibilities
- Network Administration: Manage, monitor, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Cybersecurity Support: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data and infrastructure from cyber threats.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues for city staff and systems.
- System Upgrades: Plan and execute software installations, patches, and system upgrades according to compliance standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, inventory logs, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT support, network administration, or a similar government role.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CCNA certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with non-technical staff and management.
