Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT systems for veteran healthcare services
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives and conduct vulnerability assessments
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize healthcare technology workflows
- Manage cloud infrastructure and hybrid network environments
- Develop disaster recovery plans and business continuity protocols
- Mentor junior IT staff and provide technical guidance
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, HIPAA, and federal IT regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of specialized IT experience in federal/government environments
- Active Security+ CE certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and virtualization
- Demonstrated expertise in network architecture and system administration
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
