Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network systems supporting VA medical facilities
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect sensitive veteran health information
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize IT service delivery
- Manage enterprise software deployments and system integrations
- Provide technical guidance to junior IT staff and department stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with federal IT security standards (FISMA, NIST)
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience
- Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization
- Experience with federal IT security protocols and compliance frameworks
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
