Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Perform system administration tasks, including server maintenance, patch management, and security updates.
- Assist in the implementation and deployment of new IT systems and software solutions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government IT policies and security standards.
- Analyze system data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and technical procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT support, system administration, or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity.
