Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal IT systems including servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive veteran data (NIST/FISMA compliance)
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for 500+ federal employees across Portland facilities
- Develop and document IT policies/procedures aligned with federal guidelines
- Coordinate system upgrades and disaster recovery testing
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on IT modernization initiatives
- Monitor system performance using federal-approved monitoring tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of IT infrastructure experience with federal systems
- Active Security+ CE certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure cloud services
- Demonstrated experience with NIST SP 800-53 security controls
- Federal background investigation eligibility (ability to obtain Secret clearance)
- Strong problem-solving skills with incident response experience
