Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
- Manage cross-functional teams including engineers, developers, and city stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risk assessments, and communication strategies.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and status reports for executive leadership and city council.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, procurement policies, and IT security standards.
- Identify and mitigate project risks before they impact deliverables.
- Collaborate with vendors and external contractors to manage service level agreements (SLAs).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years in the government or public sector.
- PMP, PgMP, or CAPM certification is strongly desired.
- Proficient in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (MS Project, Jira, Asana).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and technical requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in managing IT infrastructure or software development projects.
