Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity frameworks including NIST 800-53 protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and incident response protocols
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for classified and unclassified data systems
- Coordinate with federal agencies on security compliance and audits
- Train personnel on security best practices and emerging threats
- Manage security incident lifecycle from detection to resolution
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years experience in federal IT security compliance
- CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in FedRAMP and CUI handling procedures
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Knowledge of FISMA and OMB security directives
- Ability to obtain DHS Suitability determination
