Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions across federal networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and respond to incidents within SLA requirements
- Develop comprehensive incident response plans and coordinate with federal partners
- Lead compliance initiatives for NIST, FISMA, and DHS security frameworks
- Mentor junior security analysts and conduct security awareness training
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to integrate security best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT security with federal/government sector preferred
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 security controls and FISMA compliance
- Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP) and zero-trust models
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS security clearance
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to document complex security protocols
