Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity frameworks per NIST and FISMA standards
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across VA networks
- Manage incident response protocols for security breaches
- Develop security policies and procedures for compliance
- Collaborate with IT teams on secure system architecture
- Train staff on security best practices and protocols
- Monitor security alerts and threat intelligence feeds
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience in federal IT security
- Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent
- Familiarity with FedRAMP and DoD security requirements
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight)
- Knowledge of HIPAA and VA data protection standards
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
