Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity frameworks including NIST 800-53 standards
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Develop incident response plans and lead security breach investigations
- Manage identity access control systems and encryption protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and respond to threats in real-time
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification required
- Minimum 3 years experience in federal IT security environments
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Familiarity with FedRAMP and CUI compliance standards
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
