Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust cybersecurity frameworks compliant with federal NIST standards
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop incident response protocols and lead security breach mitigation efforts
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to enhance national cybersecurity posture
- Monitor security alerts and maintain real-time threat detection systems
- Create comprehensive security documentation and training materials
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, HIPAA, and other federal regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT security or information assurance
- Active Security+ CE or CISSP certification required
- Expertise in network security, encryption, and access control systems
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in risk assessment methodologies
