Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor security controls for federal IT systems using NIST frameworks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop incident response protocols and lead cybersecurity incident investigations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure FISMA compliance
- Design and maintain security architectures for cloud and hybrid environments
- Provide expert guidance on risk mitigation strategies for classified systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification with 3+ years federal IT security experience
- Expertise in NIST SP 800-53 security controls framework
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and compliance reporting
