Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement proactive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure data security and compliance with government regulations and cybersecurity protocols.
- Manage server hardware and software, including virtualization technologies and cloud services.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior IT staff and departmental end-users.
- Conduct regular system audits and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration within a corporate or government environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Proven experience with network security best practices and disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
