Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure and network systems to support municipal operations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT staff and junior analysts within the department.
- Conduct system analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-effective, scalable solutions.
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal government security protocols, privacy regulations, and IT standards.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party service delivery to ensure quality and timely completion.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system diagrams and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent relevant work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, IT administration, or a similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, server administration (Windows/Linux), and cloud technologies (AWS or Azure preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or PMP are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working within the public sector or government environment is a plus.
