Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced cybersecurity protocols for federal networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Monitor security incidents using SIEM tools and develop mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and DHS security frameworks
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches
- Develop security awareness training programs for federal employees
- Collaborate with cross-agency partners on security initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT security roles
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Splunk, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Strong knowledge of federal security regulations (FISMA, CUI)
- Excellent analytical and incident response documentation skills
