Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal cybersecurity protocols across classified and unclassified systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal networks
- Develop incident response plans and lead breach mitigation efforts
- Collaborate with NIST and CISA frameworks for compliance
- Mentor junior staff on security best practices and threat intelligence
- Prepare compliance reports for OMB and congressional oversight
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 3+ years experience in network security or federal IT environments
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and encryption standards
- Familiarity with FedRAMP and NIST SP 800-53 requirements
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and zero-trust architecture
