Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise cybersecurity frameworks across federal IT systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and incident response protocols
- Develop compliance documentation for NIST, FISMA, and federal security standards
- Coordinate with federal partners on threat intelligence sharing and mitigation strategies
- Maintain security accreditation for IT systems under FedRAMP requirements
- Mentor junior staff on security best practices and emerging threats
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years in IT security with federal/government environment experience
- Active CISSP, Security+, or equivalent security certification required
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
- Knowledge of federal IT security frameworks (NIST SP 800-53, FISMA)
- Strong analytical skills and experience with incident response protocols
