Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols across federal IT systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop incident response plans and lead security breach mitigation
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and federal security standards
- Train personnel on security best practices and policy adherence
- Collaborate with cross-agency security teams on threat intelligence
- Manage security audits and compliance reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT security or related role
- Active CISSP, Security+, or equivalent security certification
- Proficiency with SIEM tools and threat detection platforms
- Knowledge of federal security frameworks (FISMA, NIST SP 800-53)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies
