Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems across federal networks
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and develop mitigation strategies
- Manage identity access governance and privileged account lifecycle
- Develop security awareness training programs for federal personnel
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and DHS security protocols
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT security operations
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint protection
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) frameworks
- Demonstrated knowledge of zero-trust architecture principles
- Ability to obtain DHS Suitability Clearance
