Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain advanced cybersecurity protocols for federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Monitor security incidents using SIEM tools and respond to threats in real-time
- Develop security policies compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams during cybersecurity drills and actual incidents
- Train federal staff on security best practices and threat awareness
- Manage security clearance access controls and audits
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years experience in IT security or federal IT operations
- CompTIA Security+ CE and CISSP certifications required
- Expertise in network security, cloud security, and incident response
- Experience with federal compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
