Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the agency's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Configure, install, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems for federal employees and stakeholders.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive federal data and systems.
- Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and training to end-users across various departments.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to identify areas for optimization.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party contractors to manage software licensing and service agreements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- 1 year of specialized IT experience equivalent to the GS-7 level (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (or higher) required for federal employment.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, Cisco networking, and cloud-based solutions (AWS/Azure).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with federal compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA) is highly preferred.
