Responsibilities
- Design, install, and configure complex network infrastructure to meet federal security requirements.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues in real-time.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data from unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Provide advanced technical support and training to junior staff and end-users.
- Manage server maintenance, patching, and backup procedures for on-premise and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive IT modernization initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or a related government contracting sector.
- Active or ability to obtain a Public Trust or Secret security clearance.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Cisco networking hardware.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CCNA are highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and client interaction.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
