Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure for federal systems
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for veterans' healthcare applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system compliance with federal regulations
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives and vulnerability assessments
- Manage database administration and data integrity protocols
- Develop and document IT policies and procedures
- Mentor junior IT staff on best practices and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in federal IT systems administration
- Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and virtualization technologies
- Strong knowledge of FISMA and NIST compliance frameworks
- Experience with ITIL processes and service management tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
