Responsibilities
- Lead cybersecurity incident response and threat mitigation for federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption)
- Develop security policies and procedures compliant with NIST/FISMA standards
- Collaborate with federal partners on threat intelligence sharing
- Provide technical guidance to junior cybersecurity staff
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship (required for federal position)
- Security clearance eligibility or active clearance
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Cybersecurity or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on incident response experience
- CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network analysis
- Knowledge of federal IT security frameworks (NIST SP 800-53, FISMA)
