Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust cybersecurity systems to protect federal networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and respond to incidents within SLAs
- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans for critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and incident response protocols
- Manage security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and encryption platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with federal systems
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Proficiency in Windows/Linux system administration and network security
- Familiarity with NIST RMF framework and continuous monitoring tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and container technologies
- Strong analytical skills and ability to document complex technical procedures
