Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT systems and network architectures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for federal assets
- Develop incident response protocols and lead cybersecurity investigations
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and other federal security standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture
- Maintain security clearances and adhere to strict confidentiality protocols
- Train staff on cybersecurity best practices and emerging threats
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity experience in federal/government sector
- Active Security Clearance (Top Secret/SCI preferred)
- Expertise in threat detection, incident response, and risk mitigation
- Proficiency in security tools (Splunk, SIEM, Nessus, Wireshark)
- Strong knowledge of federal IT security frameworks (NIST 800-53, FISMA)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
