Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the organization's information security program, ensuring strict compliance with federal standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.
- Implement and maintain advanced firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
- Lead incident response efforts for cybersecurity breaches and coordinate with external agencies.
- Provide technical guidance and training to IT staff regarding security best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into new IT infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Secret security clearance is required.
- Professional certification such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or information assurance within a federal or government environment.
- Strong knowledge of federal IT regulations and compliance frameworks.
