Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust cybersecurity frameworks for federal IT systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools and coordinate incident response
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies and procedures
- Train federal employees on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Collaborate with NIST and FISMA compliance initiatives
- Manage security access controls and identity management systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience in federal or regulated environments
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+ certification required
- Proficiency with NIST frameworks and FISMA compliance standards
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Strong understanding of network security protocols (TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
