Responsibilities
- <ul><li>Manage the security architecture of VA information systems to ensure compliance with federal standards.</li><li>Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and risk analysis to identify potential threats.</li><li>Oversee incident response procedures and coordinate with forensic teams during security breaches.</li><li>Develop and maintain documentation for security policies, procedures, and training materials.</li><li>Monitor system performance and security logs to detect anomalous activities in real-time.</li><li>Collaborate with IT teams to implement robust encryption and access control measures.</li><li>Ensure all systems adhere to NIST and FISMA compliance requirements.</li></ul>
Qualifications
- <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (or eligibility to obtain one).</li><li>5+ years of experience in federal cybersecurity or information systems security.</li><li>Possession of professional certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CISM is highly preferred.</li><li>Deep understanding of NIST Cybersecurity Framework and FISMA regulations.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.</li></ul>
