Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols and firewalls to protect state data assets.
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for internal users.
- Conduct regular system audits, patch management, and security vulnerability assessments.
- Provide technical support and training to government staff regarding IT best practices and software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable IT solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all system configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration or technical support within a government or corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of network security standards, data privacy laws, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and security clearance investigation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with non-technical staff.
