Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure and cybersecurity protocols to ensure data integrity.
- Perform real-time system monitoring and troubleshooting to guarantee 99.9% uptime for critical state services.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments in strict compliance with NIST and state standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy software updates, patches, and hardware upgrades efficiently.
- Provide advanced technical support and training to internal staff regarding security best practices and system usage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or CISSP is strongly preferred for this role.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network administration or cybersecurity.
- Proficiency in managing firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-stakes government environment.
