Responsibilities
- Lead incident response activities for cybersecurity threats across federal systems
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop and execute cybersecurity training programs for federal employees
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to coordinate threat intelligence sharing
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and DHS cybersecurity frameworks
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required with ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with federal systems
- CISSP, CEH, or GIAC certification required
- Expert knowledge of network security architecture and cloud environments
- Proven experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Ability to work flexible hours during security incidents
