Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize federal IT infrastructure including networks, servers, and cloud systems
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive veteran data
- Provide technical support and training to VA staff across multiple departments
- Collaborate on federal IT modernization initiatives and system upgrades
- Ensure compliance with federal IT standards and regulations (FISMA, NIST)
- Document system configurations and create technical documentation
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve IT service delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of progressive IT experience in federal/government environments
- Active Security+ CE certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise networking
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
