Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain DoD network infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments for classified systems
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for military command and control applications
- Coordinate with federal agencies to ensure IT systems comply with NIST and DISA standards
- Lead system upgrades and migrations while maintaining 99.9% uptime for critical operations
- Document technical procedures and maintain compliance with federal audit requirements
- Train military personnel on secure IT practices and system protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Active DoD Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 5 years experience with enterprise network administration
- Certification in CompTIA Security+ and CISSP preferred
- Expertise in Windows Server administration and Active Directory
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Knowledge of federal IT security frameworks (FISMA, NIST SP 800-53)
- Ability to work rotating shifts and occasional overtime
