Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure systems supporting national security operations
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives including vulnerability assessments, incident response, and compliance with federal standards (NIST, FISMA)
- Manage cloud migration projects using AWS/GCP/Azure with emphasis on FedRAMP compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop IT strategic plans aligned with DHS mission objectives
- Provide technical guidance on system integration, database management, and network architecture
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for critical IT assets
- Ensure all systems meet federal accessibility and security requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive IT experience with 3+ years in federal or regulated environment
- Active Security+ CE or CISSP certification (CompTIA Security+ acceptable)
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and federal security protocols
- Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance (required post-offer)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
