Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure for VA medical facilities
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives and compliance with federal standards (FISMA, NIST)
- Manage enterprise software deployments and system integrations
- Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams on IT projects
- Analyze system performance and recommend optimization strategies
- Coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Ensure HIPAA compliance for protected health information systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience with federal systems
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization
- Certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or ITIL preferred)
- Experience with EHR systems (e.g., VistA) a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
