Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain enterprise IT systems including servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for VA healthcare applications and databases
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and ensure compliance with federal regulations (FISMA, NIST)
- Lead system upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT project delivery and vendor management
- Develop technical documentation and SOPs for system operations
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive IT infrastructure management experience
- Federal IT experience with healthcare systems preferred
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and network administration
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal IT security frameworks and compliance standards
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
