Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize VA IT systems including servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments
- Provide technical support for electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Develop disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT modernization projects
- Ensure compliance with federal IT security standards (FISMA, NIST)
- Train staff on new IT systems and security protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of IT infrastructure management experience
- Federal IT security certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Knowledge of federal IT acquisition processes (FAR)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust security clearance
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration and Active Directory
- Experience with healthcare IT systems preferred
