As an IT Specialist, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our national information infrastructure while supporting veterans and their families. We are looking for candidates ready to make a difference immediately.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain advanced cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive federal data and systems.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk analysis to ensure compliance with federal standards (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP).
- Monitor network traffic and respond to security incidents, intrusions, and anomalies in real-time.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network hardware, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design secure IT solutions and infrastructure upgrades.
- Prepare and present technical reports regarding security posture and incident resolution to leadership.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Experience with network security protocols, encryption, and access control mechanisms.
- Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, and Unix.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, incident response procedures, and disaster recovery planning.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation (Secret/Top Secret).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
