Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure for federal clients in the Hampton Roads area.
- Provide expert technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Enforce federal cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards (NIST/FISMA) to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy IT systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure system integrity and security.
- Manage user access rights, permissions, and identity management within the federal directory services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Top Secret or Secret security clearance is highly preferred for this role.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or cybersecurity within a federal or defense environment.
- Strong proficiency in configuring and managing Windows Server, Linux, and Cisco network equipment.
- Deep understanding of federal IT regulations, security frameworks, and data protection laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
