Your Role
As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining information technology systems that support the Department's operational goals. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure technology solutions meet federal standards and security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test IT solutions that support agency missions and strategic goals.
- Implement and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues in real-time.
- Ensure compliance with federal IT security policies (FISMA) and data privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into existing systems.
- Conduct regular system audits and provide technical documentation for all infrastructure components.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field from an accredited university.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in IT systems analysis, design, or development.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with federal security standards and ITIL framework is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a government security clearance.
