Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across county facilities.
- Monitor network performance to ensure high availability and security compliance.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software for government staff.
- Conduct regular security audits to protect sensitive citizen data and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Provide technical support and training to non-technical staff regarding government systems.
- Manage vendor relationships for IT equipment and software licensing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience with government compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA) is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Active Directory administration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and security clearance check.
