Responsibilities
- Manage IT Infrastructure: Oversee the daily operations of local and wide-area networks, ensuring high availability and performance for all users.
- User Support: Provide expert technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network issues for federal personnel.
- Security Compliance: Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive federal data and ensure compliance with FISMA standards.
- System Administration: Administer and configure servers, databases, and virtualization environments using industry-standard technologies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, including network diagrams and standard operating procedures.
- Project Implementation: Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, upgrades, and system migrations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience: At least 2 years of specialized IT experience supporting federal or civilian government systems.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with diverse stakeholders.
